At RT Renovations, we primarily use block paving, utilising high quality Brick and Block material. The most popular pavers used are bevel edged concrete pavers. For those with a higher budget, fired clay pavers will result in a better visual appeal.

Cladding

Cladding is the application of a material to the walls in order to improve thermal insulation, weather resistance or to improve the visual appeal of a building / wall. Though many materials can used for cladding - Timber, UPVC, Metal or even glass! At RT Renovations we are experts at the installation of stone or brick cladding.

RT Renovations are expert installers of Stone cladding for feature walls, outside cladding for boundary walling, fireplaces and well as water features. We use high quality adhesives - Grout, Bonding Liquids and Key Coats, to ensure a long lifespan of our installations.

Crack Filling and Painting

Cracks appearing in house walls is a very natural process, each house will at some point develop cracks. At RT Renovations, we endeavour to understand the underlying causes of the cracks and then come up with a crack repair process best suited for your needs. A lot of the cracks experienced range from very minor - Settlement cracks as the house settles into its foundations; Mortar Shrinkage or tiny roof movements.

RT Renovations are expert at dealing with the more severe issues caused by significant sinking of foundations, water penetration or similar structural issues.

NHBRC Classification

The National Home Builders Registration Council NHBRC, has a system for classifying cracks:

Crack width under 1mm – slight problem – normal decoration for repairing
Crack between 1 and 5mm – minor issue – normal decoration for repairing
Crack between 5 and 15mm – moderate problem – normal repairs / minor masonry replacement required.
Crack between 15 and 25mm – severe concern – extensive repair work / replacing wall sections required.
CWider than 25mm – very dangerous – major repair work / partial rebuilding required.
